A new dynamic to the bottle vending machine trend
One of the popular trends in the soda vending machines has been the migration from cans to bottles. For several years now the big bottlers, Coke and Pepsi, have been pushing consumers towards plastic bottles, commonly referred to as PET. Many vending machine operators have responded by liquidating their can only vending machines to avoid getting stuck with useless machines.
However, recycling may put a stop to the PET bottle trend as organizations ramp us their recycling efforts in favor of recycling friendly aluminum cans. In fact some organizations have placed bans on plastic bottles as is the case at UW-Stevens Point where the student government recently decided in favor of aluminum cans.
Fortunately, modern beverage machines are adaptable and can easily adjust to accept either bottles or cans as is the case with our VendLoop vending machines.
